Software and Human-Machine Interface
 
Software programming on more known industrial PLC platforms
and advanced programming in any brand of inverters.

Alarms Management - Basic Package : It guarantees the capture of all alarms even pulse type until
the operative acknowledging has been completed through the OP panel. - in case of multiterminal
project all the acknowledge of common alarms can be done just from ONE terminal. No dedicated
OP interface is included.

Analog Input Management - Basic Package : it cana manage all scalings for anaolog channel for any
amount of them. For each channel it brings available into user memory all conversion and scaling
parameters as well as the proper channel diagnostic
Up to four Alarms thresholds can be integrated for each channel. It offers the possibility to replace in
on-line mode one broken channel by other one, channel malfunction is detected, two different scaling
mode are available,local remote setting available for testings.
The Operator interface is available offering a single channel interface view with the possibility to
modify all parameters in on-line mode

Analog Output Management- Basic Package : similar as Analog Input,but for output channels-it can
manage the scaling for any amount of Analog Output Channels.

Loop Control Management - Applicative Package- it foreseen that the previous Analog Input and
Output packages are still installed.It allows the addressing and parametrizing of standard control loops
as Temperatures, levels etc...with analog output control or pulse actuator. The Autotuning procedure
is also included as well as it is possible to operate the single loop in local mode for testing and control
loop simulations.
The Operator Interface is available and it offer a single loop view page with the possibillity to operate
in manual or local mode on all parameters.Trends loop and bargraphs are on this page to show the
control status of each loop.

Profibus Management- Basic Package : it allows to manage a profibus network basically for multi
drives configuration.Deterministic polling of all configured drives are performed gruping the nodes
for different levels of priority (dynamically changeble) : that guarantee the maximum network
performance even with a significant amount of nodes.
This package makes the Profibus network totally reliable for multidrive application.
It is confugurable for any amount of network nodes (Base version=64).The network diagnostic is
always running even for those nodes that are not used by applicative program.
Equipped with a proper Function Blocks library tested for the most common Drives available on
market ( for each brand two FC : one for vector and one for scalar drive type) as :
Siemens-Lenze-ControlTechnique-Vacoon-ABB-
It includes FC to generate Network alarms and diagnostic to be easily interfaced with applicative
sofware.
The operator interface through the OP terminal allows to manage each node individually with the
possibility to modify on line all parameters and to check the status, words exchanged of each single
node. Each node can also be set in local mode to control them directly trough the panel

Rewinder/Unwinder Management - Applicative Package : it is to manage the regulation and control of
Rewinder/Unwinder Machine and for each kind of machine bring the following main functions :
- double axis choise
- Scaling tension-torques
- Genarel parameters for single axis
- Servodiameter
- Speed Calculation
- Torque control based on Taper Algorithm with three different parametric phases :
   Hard core overtension- constant Tension- Decreasing tension.The taper is controlled without any
   discontinuity as well as in hardcore overtension mode. Calculation is available even the machine is
   not running and reference speed can be manually setted
- Motor losses calculation and management are included and they are individual for each mandrel
   (curve of losses depending on motor speed)
- Thermal Losses Management are calculated in continuous way and a dedicated algorithm is properly
   implemented to take in to consideration possible ON-OFF statuses and guarantee a very accurate
   calculation.
- "Feeding Mode" Management were a proper control using a torque ramp procedure is implemented
   in order to facillitate the manual feeding procedure on mandrel
- "Take and loose" Tension Management is a dedicated algorithm to detectd with maximum reliability
   this critical status of web control.
- Control Loop with diameter measuring device is foreseen with possibility to switch any time from
   measured to calculated diameter mode
- Closed loop control with Dancer roll unit (excludible)
- Closed loop contro with Load Cells (excludibile)
Operator interface on OP panel is included with all operative pages and maintenance and set up pages
with all process perameters and settings

Reports Management - Applicative Package : two different packages are available
- Shift Report ( 3 reports per day) : it stores the reports data in the PLC memory for actual and two
previous shifts.For each report all production data are calculated,accumulated and stored.
The relevant Operator Interface on OP Panel is allowable to select the report shift and to modify
some data ( (recovery of report mistakes)- to print the selected report directly from OP ( when
printer is here connected)- to configure the shifts start time.
- Archive Reports allows to manage a reporting for a selected key that can be configured and
personalized as Coil or Product or Client up to 50 different reports at same time in the basic version
even this limit can be easily extended. Report file is handed ciclically so the new report overwrite
the oldest one. For each report unit (i.e. for coil) all relevant production data are accumulated and
calculated while the actual coil (or Product or Client) does not change.
The relevant Operator Interface on OP Panel is allowable to select and view any single report and
to modify some data ( (recovery of report mistakes)- to print the selected report directly from OP (
when printer is here connected)- to configure the reporting modes - to digit the product code and/or
the Client Code

Function Librarues for several calculations and minor applicative solutions
Several Software Packages has been developped by S.T.A. for Siemens S7-300 applicative projects.
Main purpose of these packages is to allow a common and unic software strucure for all projects
both for system and applicative features. All packages are also completed with a operating interface
based on OP Control Panel and it can be used both ON-LINE for any configured terminal and
STAND-ALONE as virtual terminal. This type of Interface has been properly designed and
implemented using multiplexing techniques in order to minimize the required resources on OP
Terminal and to make it free from dimensions or quantities.
In this way the packeage is fully available from functional ppoint of view as well as operating.
Basically these interfaces are useful for maintenance/instrumentation and remote assistance of plant.
Furthermore a set of packages and software libraries have been implemented to solve in standard way
some technological problem as Rewinder/Unwinder machines both in Open than in Closed LOOP
control.
All Sofware here described was fully checked and tested in several projects at different levels of 
complexities and for many continuous process and treating lines.
